A customized blank marathon running sports medal with a ribbon is a popular choice for athletes and event organizers to celebrate the accomplishment of runners. Here's a detailed description of what you can expect when ordering one:
1. Medal Design: The medal is typically round or oval-shaped, with a diameter ranging from 2.5 to 4 inches, depending on your preference. You can choose to have a plain metal finish, such as gold, silver, bronze, or a combination of colors to represent different levels of achievement (e.g., first, second, third place). Alternatively, you can opt for a design that incorporates your event's logo, name, date, or an image related to the marathon.
2. Engraving: One of the most customizable aspects is the option to engrave the medal. This can include the runner's name, race number, date of completion, event name, or any other personal message. The engraving can be done on the front or back side of the medal, usually in a raised or recessed text.
3. Ribbon: Accompanying the medal is a ribbon, which adds a touch of elegance and tradition. The ribbon color can be chosen to match the medal or to represent the event's theme. Common choices include gold, silver, bronze, or a variety of vibrant colors like red, blue, green, or black. The width of the ribbon is usually around 1-2 inches.
4. Attachment: The medal comes with a standard pin or a neck ribbon with clasps, allowing runners to wear it around their neck or attach it to their clothing post-race.
5. Quality: Ensure that the medal is made of durable materials like zinc, pewter, or even high-quality metals like bronze or brass for a long-lasting keepsake.
6. Personalization Options: Some providers also offer additional customization options like adding charms, stickers, or even incorporating small charms or pendants onto the medal.
When ordering, you'll need to provide the design specifications, engraving details, and any other preferences you may have. It's essential to communicate clearly with the supplier to ensure that the final product meets your expectations.
